Today I work in enterprise architecture and business transformation for a Fortune 500 enterprise-software company, aligning business strategy with IT infrastructure. I design technology roadmaps, evaluate software and hardware, and establish governance that improves efficiency, reduces redundancy, and manages technical debt across the organization.
I took what I'd learned in the Fortune 500 and brought it to small businesses. Mobile was booming, so I ran a boutique iOS app studio that shipped 50+ apps (2010–2015), alongside enterprise consulting. That's where I learned what small businesses actually need from software — and what they don't.
I spent a decade building enterprise software for Fortune 500 companies — first at Capgemini, then at a global enterprise-software company, then through my own independent consulting practice. Same pattern as always, just a far larger scale: understand the business problem — in finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics — then design and build the system that solves it. The industries varied — oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, retail, agriculture — but the discipline didn't.
I wrote my first program at ten and sold one at twelve — and I was hooked. A mentor who ran a small computer-repair and software shop took me under his wing, and I spent my formative years — before college — building software, computers, and networks. The fundamentals he taught me haven't changed: understand the problem, keep the solution simple, and make sure it still works after you leave.
